李明,男,博士,研究员,博士生导师,Optica Fellow,光电子材料与器件全国重点实验室主任。

(一)科研经历与研究方向简介:

2009年毕业于日本国立静冈大学,获得工学博士学位。2009年4月-2011年5月在加拿大渥太华大学微波光子学实验室从事博士后研究。师从著名微波光子学专家姚建平教授,主攻方向高速微波信号产生和处理。由于合作项目的关系,2011年6月前往加拿大国家科学研究所从事超快全光模拟信号处理方面的研究工作。合作导师为加拿大光子信号处理领域的研究主席Jose Azana教授。2013年2月回国至中国科学院半导体研究所工作,任研究员。

探索了光电融合调控新机制,围绕光电振荡器、光电智能计算和光电子集成等前沿技术开展了一系列研究,主要成果包括:

光电振荡器:建立了新原理与集成化光电融合振荡技术体系,构建了统一的MING 模型光电振荡器理论模型,解决了光电振荡器多状态建模分析难题;提出了傅里叶域锁模光电振荡器、宇称-时间对称光电振荡器、宽带随机光电振荡器、光电参量振荡器等新型光电振荡器,解决光电振荡器面临的单模选择和多模调控难题;研制出三款集成光电振荡器,大幅降低了光电振荡器的体积和重量。相关研究成果发表在Nature Communications、Light: Science & Applications 等高水平期刊上,入选了国家“十三五”科技创新成就展,被同行评价为“光电振荡器快速模式调控的突破性进展”、“最先进的GHz 振荡器”、“最先进的可调光电振荡器”等。

光电智能计算:提出了基于光电参量振荡机理的新型光电伊辛机,大幅拓展了光电伊辛机的相干时间,解决了传统技术路线难以兼顾“大规模、高相干、可编程”的实用化难题,被同行评价为“展现出了强大的计算能力,预示着即将到来的光子霸权”。研制了系列光子智能计算芯片,提出波分复用多模干涉结合,解决芯片线性规模化扩展难题;提出光波微波混合复用与波长调谐权重加载的三维卷积处理技术,算力密度达到H100的14倍;提出光电闭环优化卷积神经网络架构,实现8 bit等效推理精度,解决光计算精度问题。相关成果发表在Nature Communications、Light: Science & Applications等高水平期刊上,应用于实际交通优化问题求解系统中。

光电子集成:提出了高密度大容量光电互连集成新材料与新方法,推动了光电融合集成技术的发展。开发了面向12英寸量产硅光平台的工艺开发套件;建立了通用的集成高速通信系统端到端仿真模型(100Gbps+),为阵列化光收发互连芯片设计和光电集成发展提供理论与技术支撑;研制出硅基光电融合单片集成和3D堆叠集成互连芯片,相对同期国际头部企业,单通道速率提升至64 Gb/s,收发总能耗降低至2.85 pJ/bit;开发基于高电光系数锆钛酸铅的光电器件库,调制器带宽超70 GHz,调制效率优于1.3 V.cm。相关成果发表在Nature Communications、Physical Review Letters等高水平期刊上,在光电子头部领军企业进行了应用。

获得了国家自然科学基金优青、杰青以及国家重点研发计划项目等资助,发表期刊论文260余篇,其中Nature子刊16篇(1篇Nature Photonics,10篇Nature Communications,5篇Light: Science & Applications)。入选为Optica Fellow(美国光学学会会士)、中国光学工程学会会士、中国电子学会会士,先后获得中国光学工程学会科学技术奖一等奖2项、中国通信学会科学技术一等奖1项和二等奖1项、王大珩光学奖中青年科技人员奖、加拿大COPL致敬奖、中国电子学会“优秀科技工作者”称号和中国科学杂志社Science Bulletin杰出贡献奖等。
