Fiber laser sheet metal cutting right now is the hottest application for high-power fiber lasers. So much so that the other highly interesting applications for low-power fiber lasers in medical device manufacturing and microelectronics, on a smaller scale, are making noise when it comes to advanced laser applications in manufacturing. Some observers believe that the major contribution to future market growth will come from this latter sector where new pulsed fiber lasers are producing smashing results in the production of thin materials in a more effective and efficient way.
