Welcome to the post Strategies in Light edition of the LEDs Magazine newsletter. We have a nice selection of material from the conference. Moreover, you'll find the usual array of industry news stories, application stories and new products.

Bob Steele's presentation of the Strategies Unlimited HB LED market forecast kicked off the Strategies in Light conference. Steele predicts a 30.6% CAGR ramp in the market through 2014.

We're also very excited about the upcoming Strategies in Light Europe 2010 scheduled for Sept 27-29 in Frankfurt, Germany. The call for papers is out, and the deadline is Mar 19.

In other news, Cree continues to raise the bar for efficacy in the lab. The company claims to have hit 208 lm/W with a white LED at a CCT of 4579K.

We have a lengthy list of new product announcements. Among them, Toshiba Electronics Europe announced new white LEDs ranging from 75 to 100 lm for general lighting applications.
